The Velvet Suite

A sophisticated living space where deep mauve tones meet warm oak, creating a sanctuary of understated luxury. This Milan apartment was completely transformed from a dated, fragmented layout into an open, flowing space that celebrates both intimate moments and grand entertaining.

The clients, a couple with a passion for art and wine collecting, wanted a home that would serve as both a private retreat and a gallery for their growing collection. Our solution was to create a neutral, warm backdrop that allows the art to breathe while introducing moments of rich color through textiles and accent pieces.

The living room, pictured above, centers on a custom-designed velvet sofa in a deep plum hue — the project's namesake. Flanked by oak shelving that houses the couple's library and wine storage, the room balances sophistication with comfort.
